Ansett new colours - ATL98 Carvair (1970's)

Here is another Carvair repainted from David Henderson's great model of N98FA, the Custom Air Services aircraft based at Clayton County, Georgia.

I was recently looking through a great aviation book, 'Classic Airliners' by Tom Singfield (Midland Publishing) and suddenly came upon three excellent photgraphs of Carvairs, including this one of Ansett of Australia. I had already been considering doing an Ansett aircraft, because there does'nt seem to me to be enough propliners from Oceania and Asia available, so this decided me. I had intended to do the more colourful old colour scheme - and I will be doing it next- but this one is quite nice meantime. I've altered a few of the texture files to try to give a bit more detail, so this one should be my best Carvair yet!

The original model was made by David Henderson and the designer was Tom Johnson. Since it was made from a DC4, it has a complicated pedigree, involving Kevin Trinkle, Tom Gibson, Rich Boehinger and Les Penridge as well, but I only painted it. Thanks to all the clever people who were responsible for making this great model and permitting me to repaint it - and to Chuck Dome, whose TEXBMP utility allowed me to carry out the work.
This is a FS98 aircraft. It doesn't need conversion.

INSTALLATION
Unzip the ZIP file into a temp file. If the aircraft files are in their folders then move
the folder(and contents)into the Flight Simulator98\AIRCRAFT folder. The path should be:
FS98\AICRAFT\Carvair(or whatever you name it) That's it!

***IN CASE FILES ARE SEPERATE AND NOT IN THEIR FOLDERS:***
you should have the following folders:
MODEL
PANEL
SOUND
TEXTURE

If this is not the case, then you need to put the .MDL file in MODEL, .af files in TEXTURE, panel.cfg in PANEL, and sound.cfg in SOUND. That should do it.

On my FS I used DC-4 sounds and Christian Conesa's generic propliner panel.

This is freeware. Upload it, download it, but don't sell it !!! If you alter or improve please give your predecessors credit.
